How to take children’s day holiday in 2021? Is it a legal holiday?
According to the latest regulations on holiday arrangements in my country, the way of holiday on Children’s Day in 2021 is as follows:children under the age of 14 will have 1 day off , others will not be given holidays, nor are they part of the 11-day statutory holidays.
Introduction to Children’s Day on June 1
International Children’s Day is scheduled on June 1 every year.To mourn the Lidice massacre on June 10, 1942 and all the children who died in wars around the world, to oppose the killing and poisoning of children, and to protect children’s rights.In November 1949, the International Federation of Democratic Women held a council meeting in Moscow.Representatives of China and other countries angrily exposed the crimes of murdering and poisoning children by imperialists and reactionaries of various countries.The meeting decided to make June 1st every year as International Children’s Day.It is a festival set up to protect children’s rights to survival, health care, education, and custody in all countries of the world, to improve children’s lives, and to oppose child abuse and poisoning.Many countries in the world have designated June 1 as a children’s holiday.
National Holidays and Commemorative Days and Holidays
(Promulgated by the State Council on December 23, 1949, according to the State Council’s Regulations on Amending the National Annual Festivals and Commemorative Days issued on September 18, 1999 The first revision of the "Decision on Holiday Measures" was revised according to the "Decision of the State Council on Amending the "National Holidays and Memorial Day Holiday Measures" on December 14, 2007.The second revision was based on December 11, 2013.The third revision of the "Decision on the National Holidays and Memorial Day Holiday Measures")
Article 1, these measures are formulated to unify the national holiday and anniversary holidays.
Article 2, Holidays for all citizens:
(1) New Year, 1 day off (January 1);
(2) Spring Festival , 3 days off (the first, second and third day of the first lunar month);
(3) Qingming Festival, 1 day off (the day of Qingming in the lunar calendar);
(4) labor Festival, 1 day off (May 1);
(Five) Dragon Boat Festival, 1 day off (Dragon Boat Festival in the lunar calendar);
(6) Mid-Autumn Festival, 1 day off (mid-autumn day in the lunar calendar);
(7) National Day, 3 days off (October 1st, 2nd, 3rd).
Article 3, some national holidays and commemorative days:
(1) Women’s Day (March 8), women have a half-day holiday;
(2) Youth Day (May 4), youth over 14 years old will have a half-day holiday;
(3) Children’s Day (June 1), children under 14 will have a one-day holiday;
(4) On the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (August 1), active servicemen will have a half-day holiday.
Article 4:For the festivals customary to ethnic minorities, the local people’s government in the area where the ethnic minorities live together shall determine the holiday date according to the custom of each ethnic group.
Article 5, the 27th anniversary, the May 30th anniversary, the 77th anniversary of the Anti-Japanese War, the 93rd anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the 918 anniversary, the teacher’s day, the nurse’s day, the reporter’s day, the tree planting Holidays and other festivals and anniversaries will not be closed.
Article 6:All citizens shall make up the holiday on a working day if it falls on a Saturday or Sunday.Some citizens’ holidays, if they fall on Saturdays and Sundays, will not be made up.
Article 7, these Measures shall come into force on the date of promulgation (January 2, 2014).
